Move Your Home Insurance Upmarket
Enhanced Household Cover
If you have home contents that include a number of expensive items such as cameras, jewellery, computers or laptops and art you have more to lose in the event of a fire, flood or other catastrophic event.
It’s important that you make sure you’re covered for your more expensive items - especially if they are high value – as you may not be covered under a standard policy. Some insurers now offer enhanced policies targeted specifically at individuals and their families who need enhanced cover for personal possessions. These policies provide a wider level of protection.
Complete Cover
A standard household insurance policy may insist that every item in the home worth more than £1,500 is listed. Similarly, standard policies may only provide cover in the garden or an outbuilding of up to £500 - This is not the case under an enhanced policy which may be able to provide cover up to £10,000 in outbuildings.
An enhanced home and contents insurance policy can also provide worldwide cover for personal possessions as well as offering protection against identity fraud and identity theft.
All Risks
Enhanced home insurance policies provide ‘All Risks’ cover, which protects the policyholder’s home, contents and outbuildings at a higher level of cover. Only a few exceptions apply, providing peace of mind to householders without having to trawl through all the fine print.
